Facial fillers can work by plumping up your skin, smooth wrinkles and fill out deep lines by replacing the collagen lost due to the natural aging process or skin damage.
As we age, our skin changes and we lose our hydration and have a depletion of facial fat. Skin becomes thinner, less elastic, and due to the lack of collagen production we develop lines, wrinkles and folds start to form. Skin will eventually begin to sag. The more mobile facial areas are often the first to be effected by this.
Facial aging is due to changes in skin, fat, muscle and bone. Changes in one tissue layer have an effect on the other layers. As we age our face shape changes as we lack structural support. Dermal fillers can help restore the ageing face and help to emphasise youthful features.
Injectable Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers can restore, volumise and rejuvenate these facial lines and augment the appearance of the face. Hyaluronic fillers are a safe and effective way of replenishing and restoring youth.
Facial fillers can work by plumping up your skin, smoothing wrinkles and filling out deep lines. This is achieved by replacing the collagen lost due to the natural aging process or skin damage. Premium dermal fillers such as Juvederm, are injected in small controlled doses under the surface of skin in the area to be treated.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are a naturally occurring substance and the brands used by Susan Kitchen Aesthetics clinic are of high quality, producing natural, long lasting effects. Not all clients are suited to one brand so we take time to source a combination of products which are discussed during our free consultations.
Dermal fillers are injected in to the skin and designed to help effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted lines, to contour and help restore volume. The dermal fillers used at SKA are all semi-permanent and made out of hyaluronic acid.
This is dependant on the type of filler used. The effects can last from 6 months to 24 months.
Hyaluronic acid is a type of sugar found in the skin. With age this depletes and therefore dermal fillers containing the main ingredient hyaluronic acid can enhance the skins structures and appearance.
It is advised that you do not apply make up for the rest of the day following treatment. Do not carry out intense exercise for 24 hours and allow the treatment areas injected to settle. Susan and the team are always on hand to answer questions or concerns following treatment.
The ‘8-point lift’ is a technique for restoring volume in eight strategic areas, giving lift and support using a small amount of dermal fillers without significant discomfort or downtime in comparison to surgery.
Results are noticeable immediately, however often the injections may cause a trauma effect of redness and potentially bruising so therefore best results are after 2 weeks when the filler has integrated in to the tissues and any trauma injury has disappeared. Swelling subsides after a few hours.
